In You

In You

Scripture: Romans 8:6–11

Scripture Summary:
Paul contrasts life in the flesh with life in the Spirit, reminding us that the Spirit of God dwells within us and brings life, peace, and renewal.

Devotional:
There’s a difference between just getting through the day and truly living. Paul reminds us that the Spirit of God isn’t distant; it’s within us. That means life, real life, is already at work inside of you.
Even when things feel heavy, when your mind is overwhelmed, when peace feels out of reach, the Spirit is still present, still breathing life into you.

You’re not empty. You’re not alone. You are filled with the very presence of God.

Prayer:
God, center my mind on Your Spirit and lead me into Your peace today. Amen.

Move the Stone

Move the Stone

Monday, March 23, 2026

Scripture: John 11:1–45

Scripture Summary:
Before the miracle, Jesus tells the crowd to roll away the stone. Even in resurrection, people are invited to participate.

Devotional:
It’s interesting, Jesus could have moved the stone without anyone’s help. But instead, Jesus tells them, “Take away the stone.” Sometimes, the miracle begins with our willingness to move what’s in the way. The fear, the doubt, the hesitation, the “what if nothing happens.”
God is still doing resurrection work, but sometimes we’re invited to take a step first. Not because the outcome depends on us, but because transformation often involves us.

Prayer:
God, give me the courage to move what stands in the way and trust You with what comes next. Amen.

At the Tomb

At the Tomb

Sunday, March 22, 2026  Fifth Sunday in Lent

Scripture: John 11:1–45

Scripture Summary:
Jesus arrives after Lazarus has died, and in the midst of grief and doubt, declares, “I am the resurrection and the life.” At the tomb, Jesus weeps, then calls Lazarus out, bringing life where there was death.

Devotional:
There are moments in life that feel too far gone, too broken, too buried to be restored. We’ve all stood at some kind of tomb, grief, loss, disappointment, unanswered prayers. And yet, Jesus doesn’t stay away from those places. Jesus steps right into them. Even weeps with us. And then, with a voice that carries power and compassion, he calls life out of what we thought was over.
Maybe today, God is still calling something in you to come out. Not just later. Not someday. But now.

Prayer:
God of life, meet me in the places that feel lost and speak new life into my soul. Amen.

Scripture: Psalm 23

Scripture Summary:
This beloved psalm describes God as a shepherd who guides, restores, protects, and walks with us through every valley. Even in dark places, God’s presence brings comfort and hope.

Devotional:
Lent reminds us that life includes valleys. There are seasons when we feel uncertain, tired, or overwhelmed. Yet Psalm 23 reminds us that we never walk alone. The Shepherd walks beside us, guiding us through the shadows, restoring our souls, and preparing a table of grace even amid difficulty.

Prayer:
Good Shepherd, walk with me through every valley and lead me beside still waters. Amen.

Miracle

Miracle

Monday, March 16, 2026

Scripture: John 9:8–17

Scripture Summary:
The neighbors and religious leaders question the man who had been healed. Some doubt the miracle, others debate how it could have happened, and the man himself simply tells his story, I was blind, and now I see.

Devotional:
Faith does not always require complicated explanations. Sometimes the most powerful testimony is simply telling what God has done. The man healed by Jesus does not have theological arguments ready; he only knows that his life has changed. Our faith stories may not be dramatic, but they matter. When we share honestly how God has been present in our lives, we shine light for others.

Prayer:
God, give me the courage to share the ways your light has touched my life. Amen.

Blind

Blind

Sunday, March 15, 2026

Scripture: John 9:1–7

Scripture Summary
Jesus encounters a man who has been blind since birth. Rather than debating whose fault the blindness might be, Jesus reveals that God’s works can be made visible through unexpected circumstances. Jesus places mud on the man’s eyes and tells him to wash in the pool of Siloam, and the man returns able to see.

Devotional:
We spend a lot of time asking why. Why did this happen? Why is life unfair? Why do difficult things happen to good people? In this story, Jesus refuses to get caught in blame or speculation. Instead, Jesus focuses on what God can do in the present moment. Sometimes faith means shifting from asking why this happened to asking what God might be doing now. Even in difficult seasons, God can still bring light.

Prayer:
God of light, help me trust that your presence is at work even in the places I do not fully understand. Amen.

Joyful Noise

Joyful Noise

Saturday, March 14, 2026

Scripture: Psalm 95:1–2, 6–8

Scripture Summary
The psalm calls people to sing, worship, and bow before God, the One who made us and shepherds us. It also gives a warning: “Today, if you hear God’s voice, do not harden your hearts.”

Devotion
There is both joy and warning in this psalm.

We are invited to worship with gratitude, but we are also reminded to stay open-hearted before God. It is possible to become hardened by disappointment, anger, or exhaustion. Life can do that to us.

But Lent is an invitation to soften again. To listen again. To let God’s voice reach the places in us that have grown guarded or weary.

Today, not someday, but today, God is still speaking.

Prayer
Shepherding God, keep my heart open to your voice, your leading, and your grace today. Amen.

Hope

Hope

Friday, March 13, 2026

Scripture: Romans 5:1–5

Scripture Summary
Paul says that since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through Jesus Christ. He speaks of suffering producing endurance, character, and hope, and says that hope does not disappoint because God’s love has been poured into our hearts.

Devotion
This passage does not pretend suffering is easy. It simply tells the truth: suffering is real, but it is not empty.

Some of us know that deeply. We have carried grief, disappointment, uncertainty, and burdens we never asked to bear. And still, somehow, God has kept us.

Paul reminds us that hope is not wishful thinking. Hope is what grows when God’s love keeps meeting us in the middle of real life. Not after the struggle, but in it.

That kind of hope does not disappoint because it is grounded in God’s love, not in changing circumstances.

Prayer
God of hope, pour your love into my heart again and help me trust that you are still at work, even in hard places. Amen.

Water From Rock

Water From Rock

Thursday, March 12, 2026

Scripture: Exodus 17:5–7

Scripture Summary
God tells Moses to strike the rock, and water comes out for the people to drink. Amid their fear and complaining, God still provides.

Devotion
What a grace that God provides even when faith is shaky.

The people complained. They doubted. They questioned. And still, water came from the rock.

That is good news for us, because there are many days and nights when our faith is not strong or polished. There are days when our prayers sound more like frustration than confidence. Yet God remains faithful.

Lent reminds us that God’s mercy does not depend on our perfection. God meets us even in our need, even in our weakness, even in our doubt.

Prayer
Merciful God, thank you for providing for me even on the days when my faith feels fragile. Amen.

Wilderness

Wilderness

Wednesday, March 11, 2026

Scripture: Exodus 17:1–4

Scripture Summary
The Israelites are in the wilderness with no water, and they begin to complain to Moses. In their fear and frustration, they wonder whether God is really with them.

Devotion
Wilderness faith is hard.

It is one thing to trust God when life feels settled. It is another thing to trust when resources are low, nerves are frayed, and the future feels uncertain. That is where Israel finds itself.

Truthfully, that is where many of us find ourselves, too. We look around at the world, at our communities, at our own burdens, and we wonder, “Is God really with us in this?”

The wilderness does not mean God has abandoned us. Sometimes it is the very place where God will provide what we need.

Prayer
God of the wilderness, when I am tired and uncertain, hold me steady and remind me that you are still with me. Amen.
